Our Materials
Experience the elegance of fine jewellery with our collection...
At The Lace Studio, we primarily craft our pieces in gold vermeil — a luxurious layer of gold applied over sterling silver.
Each item is meticulously made from sterling silver and bears the 925 hallmark, ensuring its authenticity as genuine sterling silver.
Our gold plating is achieved through a process known as "electrolysis," where gold particles are precisely bonded to the metal.
And there's more!

The Lace Studio is committed to offering the highest quality semi-fine jewellery, striving to come as close as possible to the standards of fine jewellery.

Each piece undergoes an additional protective treatment, enhancing the durability and brilliance of our plating to ensure it lasts longer. Additionally, we are excited to highlight that our stones and pearls are sourced from natural origins.
This means each piece boasts its own unique shape, size, and colour, resulting in an exceptionally distinctive item.

We absolutely love delivering exceptional quality and personalised service to our lovely customers! Our dedication drives us to continually research and innovate, constantly seeking ways to elevate our craftsmanship and materials.

How to take care of your jewels
Gold plated
We really care about the quality of the plating, because we want you to be happy with your purchase! Even though we do our best to make sure everything is perfect, plated items are subject to a few little variations due to time and wear, the pH of the skin and how they are handled.
We've got a few tips to help you keep them looking as beautiful as possible:
- We suggest storing them in individual pouches in dry, cool places as humidity can also alter the metal.
- The oxidation can be slowed down by wearing your items often, so... wear them and love them as much as you can!
- For best care, we recommend avoiding contact with water, oils, and perfumes.
Gemstones
We would like to bring your attention to the fact that gemstones can also be subject to alteration. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause
fading of their color, especially in the case of quartz.
Porous gemstones (such as Lapis and Turquoise) in particular should never come into contact with oils and creams as they can get absorbed causing permanent discoloration.
Sterling Silver
Sterling silver usually regains its brilliant shine with a gentle polish using a jewelry cloth.
Pearls
Pearls are natural products created by living organisms and can be delicate, reacting to various external factors. Oils, creams, and perfumes may affect their color.
